Coutin School

Dear Students and Community supporters,

It is with great sadness that we bring you the following information: Coutin School will be closing its doors at the end of the Spring 2022 Semester. Coutin School was opened in 1978, by Harvey Coutin, whose only goal was to educate children who needed extra attention to learn. When he retired in 2011, the Coutin School staff continued to educate and support hundreds of children for the next 10 years. Coutin School has been a second home for many students and staff for over 40 years, and will continue to live in our hearts forever.

Coutin School values each and every student, parent, and caregiver. Every student has brought tremendous joy to each of our lives. For these next three months, we see this transition period as a time of academic, social, and emotional growth for everyone. Counselors and staff are available for students to process their experiences, and answer any questions they may have. This will also be a time of celebration; celebration of our students, of Coutin School, our staff, our history, and our future. Our hope is that the legacy of Coutin School, its core tenants of supporting the whole child, of providing loving structure, and of strength-based learning, will continue to make an impact on each person who has spent time on our campus.

Thank you for all the years of support and trust. It has been our honor.
